Springfree Trampoline Manuals: How to Find the Right One for Your Model
Springfree does not sort its manuals by generation number. It sorts them by model code, by the letter your serial number starts with, and by whether yours is a current or a previous-generation frame. Here is how to get to the right PDF in about a minute.

We may earn a commission when you buy through links on this page, at no extra cost to you. It never decides the ranking: the scoring method is published. How we're funded
What the model code means
Every Springfree is identified by a letter and a number, and once you know the scheme you can read your own frame off the lawn. The letter is the shape: R for round, O for oval, S for square. The number is the jumping surface in square feet, which Springfree publishes on each product page: the Medium Round R79 has a 79 sq ft mat, the Large Oval O92 has 92 sq ft, and the Jumbo Square S155 has 155 sq ft. The Compact Round R54 is 54 sq ft. A trailing C, as in S155C, O92C, S113C or O77C, marks the custom-colour versions on Springfree's own list.
That matters for manuals because Springfree says the general installation process is the same across models but the manuals have been updated to give model-specific instructions. The video guides cover all models and may not show yours; the downloadable PDF is the document with your frame's specifics in it.
Which manual Springfree gives you
- Find the model code. It is on the original packaging, on your order confirmation and in your Springfree account. If you have none of those, measure the mat: the shape gives you the letter and the square footage gives you the number.
- Open the Manuals & Installation Guides page and choose that code. Each one offers a trampoline manual and, separately, a Tgoma manual.
- Have your serial number ready. The Install & Manuals Explorer branches on the first letter, S or G, so the document you get matches the build of your frame rather than the current catalogue.
- Note your frame colour. The Explorer asks, because it routes some frames to different instruction sets.
- Answer the Tgoma question honestly. If the interactive game system is going on, the sequence differs and you want both PDFs before you start, not halfway through.
Generation 2, generation 3 and what Springfree actually calls them
Owners and resale listings talk about Springfree generations; Springfree's own US support pages do not file manuals that way. What exists instead is a split between the current model-specific manuals and a set of pages titled previous-generation installation instructions, published per model for the R54, R79, O77, O92, S132 and S155. The S132 is the useful clue there: it is a code you will not find in the current range, which is what makes those pages the right destination for an older frame.
So if you are searching for a generation 3 manual PDF, the practical translation is: identify your model code and your serial letter, take the current manual if the Explorer routes you there, and take the previous-generation installation page for that same code if it does not. If you want to tell a newer frame from an older one by eye, the things that changed are visible at the mat edge and the net attachment, and the current design is described spec by spec on our Springfree review.
If you bought before 2015
Springfree states it directly on the manuals page: if you purchased a Springfree Trampoline prior to 2015, use the Install & Manuals Explorer for previous manuals and tips. That is the one route that reaches the older documentation, and it is worth starting there rather than guessing at the nearest current model, because rod counts, net fixings and hardware differ enough that an assembly step can be wrong in a way that matters.
The QR code warning in Box 1
This one is easy to miss and expensive to discover halfway through a build. Springfree notes that the QR code printed in the physical trampoline manual included in Box 1 may be incorrect, and tells owners to use the QR code on the manuals webpage instead, or to search for Springfree Trampoline in the BILT app. If you scanned the paper code and ended up on instructions that do not match the parts in front of you, that is why.
Tgoma has its own manual
Tgoma, the sensor-and-app system that turns the mat into a game surface, is documented separately: every model code on the manuals page offers a Download Tgoma Manual link alongside the trampoline manual. Download both before assembly if you bought them together, because the Tgoma hardware mounts to the frame during the build rather than after it.
Current models, and the codes they map to
If you are reading this because you are shopping rather than assembling, these are the four Springfree frames in our registry with the codes you will see on the manuals page. Every one of them carries the same springless design and the same ten-year warranty on all parts; what changes between them is mat area, footprint and the single-jumper limit.
Note the capacity ladder, because it is the detail owners most often miss when they buy second-hand off a model code: 220 lb per jumper on the S155, O92 and R79, but 175 lb on the R54. The springless design does not raise the limit as the frame gets bigger (trampoline weight limits).
If you still cannot find it
Three things to try in order. Check your Springfree account or the original order email, where the model code is recorded. Photograph the serial label and the frame, and call Springfree, whose manuals page offers phone support that walks owners through installation. And if the frame came second-hand with no paperwork at all, use the Explorer's own questions as the diagnostic: shape and mat area give you the code, the serial letter decides current against previous generation, and frame colour settles the rest.
Whichever manual you end up with, the use rules are the same and they are not in the manual's voice but in CPSC's: one jumper at a time, no somersaults, nobody under 6 on a full-size frame, and the anchors fitted. Springfree sells its Ground Anchor kit separately, and the Jumbo models need eight (trampoline safety rules, how to anchor a trampoline).
How we picked
Why these picks made the list
Every pick is scored from the maker's published specs, manual and warranty terms on a safety rubric we publish (net and edge design, anchoring, rated capacity, standards, install reality), and the sources behind each number are listed at the bottom of the page.
Scores are our editorial judgment of that published information. Nobody pays for placement, and an unpublished spec is never guessed upward. See every rubric and weight.
