General information, not safety, medical or legal advice

Everything on this site is general information about backyard play equipment: trampolines, swing sets, playsets, anchors, surfacing and accessories. It is not safety training, engineering advice, medical advice or legal advice. The manual and warning labels that ship with your equipment govern how it is assembled, anchored and used, and where anything on this site differs from them, the manual wins. Local rules on fences, setbacks, homeowners' associations and permits vary; confirm them with your municipality or association before you build. For any injury, see a doctor. Trampolines, playsets and your own judgment

Trampolines and playground equipment carry real risks, and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and the American Academy of Pediatrics say so; we quote them on the pages where it matters. No net, pad, anchor kit or surfacing product makes a trampoline or swing set safe on its own, and nothing on this site should be read as a claim that it does. We have not tested, assembled or loaded the products we write about; scores are our reading of the makers' published specifications. Follow the maker's instructions for assembly, anchoring, age and weight limits and supervision, and use your own judgment about your ground, your yard and your children. Sizes and fit vary from brand to brand: check the maker's measurements and the retailer's return policy before you buy.

Accuracy of information

We work to keep every page accurate and sourced, and we correct errors when we find them. Brands change models, specs and sizes, and we can't guarantee that every detail is current at the moment you read it. Where a detail matters to your decision, check it on the maker's or retailer's page, which our product cards link to.

Prices, purchases and retailers

We don't sell anything. Purchases happen on third-party retailer sites under their terms, prices, shipping and return policies. We aren't responsible for a retailer's products, pricing, availability or service. Some links on this site are affiliate links; see the affiliate disclosure.

The text, rankings and site design are owned by Iron Mako Media or used with permission. Photographs are licensed stock or used with permission. You're welcome to link to any page and to quote short passages with a link back. Please don't copy whole pages or republish our content without written permission.
