The Trekassy frames score high on anchoring (anchors included) and capacity (440 lb printed) and low on fall-and-pinch (bare zinc chains) and certification (no standard named), which is how a metal frame rated for adults ends up mid-table below a cedar set rated for ages 2-10. The rubric does not know who will sit on the swing; you do.

Which sets actually say adults

Only Trekassy: its A-frame pages say kids and adults can swing on it within the 440 lb rating. Gorilla says ages 3-11 next to its 800 lb figure. Swing-N-Slide says ages 2-10 next to 595 lb. Sportspower says ages 3-8 and 100 lb per user, which rules out most 12-year-olds. A total rating is the structure's number; the age range is the maker telling you who the seats, chains and deck heights were designed for. If the buyer is an adult, the honest picks are the Trekassy frames or a commercial-grade set outside this site's scope. CPSC's handbook, for its part, is written for children's equipment and says to use lightweight swings to minimize injuries if a child is struck.
